The Legend Of Whiskerbush
Once upon a time.....
Whiskerbush is an Americana Folky Bluegrass band based in Fort Worth, Texas. The band's origin story is a serendipitous one: Tyson Reich walked into the local REI last July with his guitar on his back and struck up a conversation with Jaxon Bennet, a Colorado transplant with a talent for writing melodies and lyrics. Jaxon got his start in music busking in and around Boulder, CO before landing a position as a bass player for The Red Iron Push, despite not having played the instrument before. He quickly learned the ropes and began writing songs with the band's frontman.
Tyson Reich, encouraged by longtime friends, began playing guitar and writing songs around a fire pit they built together. Eventually Tyson started gigging around Fort Worth and ingratiating himself into the Fort Worth music scene, while getting up on stages down at the White Elephant Saloon. He soon teamed up with the likes of Jaxon and started playing at venues like Silvery Star Distillery, The Horny Toad, and and even a Biker Festival in Cresson, TX. Their unique blend of traditional and contemporary sounds has earned them recurring gigs around town and invitations to play at festivals such as a neighborhood hippie festival in Arlington, TX.
With their infectious energy and talent for collaborating with other musicians Whiskerbush is quickly becoming a rising star in the Americana music scene.
